Soul of Varisu, the third single from Varisu, was released by the makers on social media on Tuesday.
Starring Vijay in the lead role, Varisu is set to release in theatres for Pongal 2023.
Soul Of Varisu is a melody voiced by KS Chithra, with lyrics by Vivek. The song celebrates the moments and relationship between a mother and her son. The two-minute version released is from a mother’s point of view, as she sings for son and expresses her unconditional love. Varisu's album is composed by S Thaman.
Varisu is directed by Vamshi Paidipally and has Rashmika Mandanna play the female lead. Sarath Kumar, Prabhu, Prakash Raj, Khushbu, Jayasudha, Yogi Babu, Srikanth, Shaam and Sangeetha are also part of the cast. The film will release in Telugu as Varasudu. Varisu is backed by Dil Raju and Shirish under the Sri Venkateswara Creations banner. The film is expected to be a family entertainer, with Vijay essaying the role of an entrepreneur's son.
The film will mark the first time Vijay is collaborating with the director. Varisu is set to share the box office, with Ajith Kumar’s Thunivu.
