Laththi, the upcoming Tamil film starring actor Vishal in the lead role, has been certified U/A with the Censor Board, the makers announced on social media on Friday.

It is set to hit the theatres on December 22.

The film is written and directed by A Vinoth Kumar. Besides Vishal, the film also features Sunainaa in the lead role and has music composed by Yuvan Shankar Raja. Produced by Ramana and Nandaa under the banner Rana Productions, Laththi is expected to be an action thriller, a genre that Vishal is known for. The actor plays a cop named Muruganandham who is dubbed as "laththi expert". Sunainaa will play Vishal’s wife in the film.

Laththi is set to release in Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, Malayalam, and Kannada. It is shot by Balasubramanian and Balakrishna Thota and with editing handled by NB Srikanth. Prabhu, Munishkanth, A Venkatesh, Vinod Sagar, and Sunny PN are also part of the cast.
