Arya's Captain certified U/A

The film is slated for release on September 8

Captain, the upcoming film starring Arya in the lead role, has been certified U/A with the Censor Board, the makers announced.

The trailer of the film, which was released recently, revealed that Captain is set against the backdrop of North East Border Town. Arya plays the role of Captain Vetriselvan of the Indian Army. The film is expected to be on army attack and how the team begins to unravel the mystery of a forest area, and decipher the identity of a mysterious species.

Expected to be an action thriller, Captain is written and directed by Shakti Soundar Rajan, who has previously worked with Arya in Teddy. Others part of the cast include Aishwarya Lekshmi, Simran, Harish Uthaman, Kavya Shetty, Gokul Anand, Suresh Meno

With cinematography by S Yuva, Shakti's Imman is composing the music. The film, produced by Think Studios in association with Arya’s The Show People, is slated for release on September 8.
