The teaser of Saakini Daakini, the upcoming Telugu film starring Regina Cassandra, and Nivetha Thomas, was released by the makers on social media on Tuesday.

The film is the official remake of South Korean action-comedy film Midnight Runners and is directed by Sudheer Varma. Saakini Daakini is produced by D Suresh Babu, Sunitha Tati and Hyunwoo Thomas Kim.

The teaser of Saakini Daakini introduces the main characters played by Regina and Nivetha as the trainees at the Police Academy. While Nivetha is a foodie, Regina has OCD. As they underperform in the training camp and catch up unnecessary fights, the film follows how the girls show their skills eventually.

The film’s technical crew consists of Richard Prasad as the cinematographer and Mikey McCleary on the music. Viplav Nyshadam is the editor.

Saakini Daakini will be releasing in theatres on September 16.
