Second single from Ponniyin Selvan Chola Chola out

The second single Chola Chola from the upcoming historical drama Ponniyin Selvan (PS-1) was released by the makers on social media on Friday.

The song portrays the glory of the Chola dynasty, accompanied by fast-paced beats. Composed by AR Rahman, it is voiced by Sathya Prakash, VM Mahalingam and Nakul Abhyankar.

The epic drama is directed by Mani Ratnam, and produced jointly by Madras Talkies and Lyca Productions. Ponniyin Selvan features a star cast, including Vikram, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Jayam Ravi, Karthi, Trisha, Aishwarya Lekshmi, Sobhita Dhulipala, Prabhu, R Sarathkumar, Vikram Prabhu, Jayaram, Prakash Raj, Rahman, Riyaz Khan, Babu Antony and R Parthiban.

The film, based on Kalki Krishnamurthy's 1995 novel, is adapted by Mani Ratnam, along with Elango Kumaravel and B Jeyamohan. It is shot by Ravi Varman and edited by A Sreekar Prasad. Recently, the makers announced that Ponniyin Selvan will be released in IMAX format, marking the first Tamil film to release in the format. It is set to hit screens worldwide on September 30.
