Reports suggest that businessman turned actor, Saravanan Arul is already in talks to start his next film. The actor is reportedly busy listening to scripts and talking to directors, despite the abysmal reviews for The Legend. The heir to the popular retail chain made his film debut with The Legend, which was billed as a commercial entertainer. The film was widely panned for its unimaginative storytelling and a severely underwhelming performance by the lead actor. Now, despite the negative reactions, Saravanan Arul is all set to return to the big screen.

His debut film, The Legend, was borderline experimental for its use of science-fiction themes to propel a plot centred around societal concern. The film was also noted for its expensive visuals and globetrotting screenplay, which is rare for a debut film. It is yet to be known whether his sophomore effort is also going to push boundaries regarding the budget and canvas. The names of directors who have reportedly discussed stories with the actor are being kept under tight wraps. Not much is known about the rest of the cast, plot, and release plans. The actor is yet to officially confirm his plans to do a new film.
The Legend, which was released on 28 July, is currently running in theatres.
