Maamanithan bags three awards at Tagore International Film Festival

Tamil film Maamanithan has won three awards at the Tagore International Film Festival, Kolkata.

While actor Vijay Sethupathi has won Best Actor Award, the film bagged Outstanding Achievement Award along with English film Nobody Loves You and You Don't Deserve to Exist. Maamanitham also won Critics' Choice Award along with Gun Of A Preacher Man.

The story of Maamanithan is about a simple man who longs to provide good education to his children and get them enrolled to a private school. To increase his income, he enters into a deal with a real estate developer and in the process gets conned. The problems he faces are what the film is all about.

Maamanithan was recently conferred with an award for Best Picture at the Indo-French International Film Festival,  and Best Actor Award for Vijay Sethupathi.

The film is currently streaming on Aha Tamil.
