The makers of Vetri's upcoming film Jiivi 2 have decided to skip a theatrical release. It has been announced that the film will be out directly on Aha. The exact release date is expected to be out soon.

Jiivi 2, the second instalment to the 2019 crime drama, is being produced by Suresh Kamatchi's V House Productions. VJ Gopinath who directed the original is helming the sequel too. While Babu Tamizh penned the screenplay of the first part, Gopinath himself has written the script of this film.

According to director Gopinath, Jiivi 2 starts right from the point where the first part ends and the sequel will retain all the key elements. The makers have retained all the lead actors including Rohini and Karunakaran for the sequel.

With cinematography by Praveen Kumar, Jiivi 2 has music and editing by KS Sundaramurthy and Praveen KL, respectively.
