Arya and Aval-filmmaker team up for a show based on a graphic novel

We had previously reported that actor Arya and director Milind Rau (Aval and Netrikann-fame) are teaming up for a web series that will premiere on Amazon Prime Video. It's now known that the series is titled The Village. The series was officially announced today at the OTT platform's event Prime Video Presents India.

The Village's first look was also shared by the makers and it features Arya hanging from a clifftop with zombie-like figures trying to drag him down. A synopsis released reads, "India’s first show based on a graphic novel, The Village follows a family on a road trip that falls victim to a clan of mutants."

Apart from Arya, the series also stars Divya Pillai, Aazhiya, Aadukalam Naren, Thalaivasal Vijay, Muthukumar, Kalai Raani, George M, John Kokken, Arjun Chidambaram, Pooja, Jayaprakash and PN Sunny. Deepthi Govindarajan, Jil Jung Juk-filmmaker Deeraj Vaidy and Milind have written the script of The Village.
