It was announced recently that Vetri Maaran will be penning the story for Ameer's comeback directorial Iraivan Miga Periyavan. Following that the duo has joined hands for a web series titled Nilamellam Ratham. 

The series which will be premiered on Zee5 will be showrun and produced by Vetri Maaran and has Ameer playing the lead. Ramesh Balakrishnan of Adhu and Pagaivan fame will be returning to direction with the show. 

The announcement was made during Zee5's promotional event Oru Awesome Thodakkam. Ameer who spoke at the event described the show as a 'raw and brutal' one. "Our project isn't going to be on the softer side and isn't meant for the weak-hearted. Since we don't have the restrictions of business or theatre, Nilamellam Ratham is going to be really close to reality." 

Nilamellam Ratham will have music by Yuvan Shankar Raja. Further details about the film are expected to be announced by the makers soon. There is no release date for the project yet.
