The motion poster of Karunas's upcoming film Aadhaar depicts a dark Egmore police station, where the hero is seen squatting with a baby in his hands. The pensive and troubled look on Karunas's face sets a serious tone for the film, which is directed by Ramnath Palanikumar. 

Ramnath and Karunas have earlier worked together in the film Ambha Samuthiram Ambani. Aadhaar also marks their second collaboration. Ramnath is also known for the film Thirunaal, which stars Jiiva and Nayanthara. 

Other than Karunas, Aadhaar also stars  Arun Pandian, Ineya, Riythvika, Uma Riyaz Khan, Bahubali Prabakar, and Dileepan. The film has music by Srikanth Deva and cinematography by Mahesh Mut
