Friendship, directed by John Paul Raj and Sham Surya, will be releasing on September 17, the makers announced. The film stars cricketer Harbhajan Singh in the lead role while Bigg Boss-fame Losliya, will be making her acting debut. Action King Arjun and popular comedian Satish will also be playing prominent roles.

"We are all set to entertain you, guys. Friendship is ready to roll in theaters from September 17. Book your tickets, sit back and relax to get entertained.. see you on the 17th in ur city," Harbhajan wrote on Twitter.

Set in a college backdrop, the film is "an entertainer with a social message for all ages," filmmaker John said during a recent media interaction. Produced by Toughened Studios Limited, the film has music by DM Udhaya Kumar while Santha Kumar C has served as the director of photography. 

Meanwhile, Harbhajan will be seen playing a cameo in Santhanam's next, Dikkiloona, set to release the coming Friday on ZEE5, while Losliya has Google Kuttappan in her pipeline.
