Karthi-Muthaiah film titled Viruman

The film will mark the reunion of the actor and the director after Komban

We had previously reported that Karthi will be reuniting with his Komban director M Muthaiah. It's now known that the film is titled Viruman. Suriya's 2D Entertainment will be producing this film. 

Rajkiran, who was a part of Komban, is also on board Viruman that also stars Prakash Raj and Soori. Newcomer Aditi has been roped in as the female lead of the film. Set in a rural backdrop, the film is said to be a family entertainer. 


Viruman will also mark director Muthaiah's first collaboration with music director Yuvan Shankar Raja. Interestingly, Yuvan had composed music for Karthi's debut film Paruthiveeran and Viruman see them reuniting after 2013's Biriyani which was the music director's 100th film. 

With SK Selvakumar of Maanagaram fame handling the cinematography, the film will be launched tomorrow. Viruman will go on floors from September 18 in Theni. 

Meanwhile, Karthi's next will be Sardar, directed by PS Mithran. He also recently wrapped up his portions for Mani Ratnam's Ponniyin Selvan
