The Tamil Nadu Government announced on Saturday that lockdown will be extended toll November 15 with few relaxations. The recently-released statement also announced that theatres can function with 100 per cent occupancy from November 1.

In addition to that, it was announced that film shooting can function with enough members provided everyone is fully vaccinated. This announcement should come as much-needed relief to the Tamil film industry, which has taken a severe hit due to the pandemic.

The government also lifted time restrictions on shops, restaurants, and bakeries from today. Now, they can function beyond 11 pm.

Normal and air-conditioned buses commuting between districts and states can function with full occupancy except for the ones traveling to Kerala.

However, political and religious gatherings will not be allowed as they might lead to super-spreading. These events will be banned till November 15.
