Post the success of Allu Arjun's Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo, it was widely speculated that actor Sivakarthiyen will headline a Tamil remake of the film. Now, the actor has revealed that he was approached for the remake and that he declined the offer as he doesn't believe in remaking such blockbuster films.

Allu Arjun's 2020 film, directed by Trivikram Srinivas, became the third highest-grossing Telugu film of all time. During a conversation with Cinema Express about his upcoming film, Doctor, Sivakarthikeyan said, "I don't believe in remaking films, especially a blockbuster like Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo. Everybody in Southern India knows what a hit the ButtaBomma song is. So, I don't want to take in the pressure of recreating that magic. Instead, I can do something fresh. Also, nobody can dance like Allu Arjun."

Sivakarthikeyan's Doctor is scheduled to hit screens on October 9. Directed by Nelson Dilipkumar, the film has Priyanka Arul Mohan playing the female lead, while Vinay and Yogi Babu will be seen in prominent roles. Co-produced by SK Productions and KJR Studios, the film has music by Anirudh Ravichander.

Meanwhile, Sivakarthikeyan also has Ayalaan and Don coming up. While the post-production of Ayalaan is nearing its completion, the shooting of Don is expected to be wrapped up in the upcoming weeks.
