A tussle between Boney Kapoor and SJ Suryah has surfaced over the Hindi remake of the latter's 1999 film, Vaalee.  Boney Kapoor had recently acquired the film's remake rights.

Following this, SJ Suryah had filed a case to stop its works. With the case still on, the court had recently passed a separate interim order allowing Boney Kapoor to go ahead with the Hindi remake.

The Times of India has now reported that SJ Suryah is planning to file an appeal against the recent verdict in the Supreme Court.

According to a source quoted by them, SJ Suryah is keen on remaking the film in Hindi, and acting in it as well unless Ajith wants to star in it. He is confident that justice will be served in this case because he believes that, being the film's scriptwriter, he holds the right to remake the film.

Boney Kapoor, meanwhile, is also remaking Comaali, Kolamaavu Kokila, and the Malayalam film Helen in Hindi.
