Music composer Ilaiyaraaja is all set to make his Billboard debut at Times Square.

There is another feather in the cap of music composer Ilaiyaraaja. In a first-of-its-kind move, an advertisement featuring the esteemed composer will be appearing at Times Square, New York City. The advertisement is a part of the collaboration between Ilaiyaraaja and the music streaming service, Spotify.

Ilaiyaraaja's banner will be digitally displayed at the popular American landmark on October 19, coinciding with the occasion of Karthika Deepam. Ilaiyaaraja's son and music composer Karthik Raja calls the move a "stepping stone in his career."

Ilaiyaaraja has also appeared in a three-minute-long ad film for the music streamer recently.

Meanwhile on the work front, Ilaiyaraaja has several films in his slate, including Viduthalai, Maayon, Thupparivaalan 2, and Thamilarasan, to name a few.
