Suriya's Jai Bhim, which was released yesterday on Amazon Prime Video, has been getting raging reviews for its hard-hitting story about the injustice that the tribal communities have been facing in society.

Now, actor Kamal Haasan has praised the film and congratulated Suriya, Jyotika and the film's team. "I watched Jai Bhim, and the film teared me up. Director Tha Se Gnanvel has strongly stressed the plight of the tribals. I congratulate Suriya, Jyotika, and the crew of the film for bringing the laments of the voiceless to the collective consciousness of the general society," he wrote on micro-blogging site Twitter.

Notably, MK Stalin, the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, heaped praise on the film and said that Jai Bhim will bring a progressive change in society.

Directed by Tha Se Gnanavel, Jai Bhim has Rajisha Vijayan, Manikandan, and Lijomol Jose in prominent roles. The film also features actors Prakash Raj, Rao Ramesh, Guru Somasundaram, Ilavarasu, Jayaprakash, MS Bhaskar, Rajendran, Subathra, and others.

The film has music by Sean Roldan, cinematography by SR Kadhir, and editing by Philomin Raj.

Jai Bhim is produced by Suriya-Jyotika's 2D Entertainment.
