Valimai censored U/A, runtime out for Ajith-starrer

Valimai, the most anticipated release of 2022 is all set to be released on the big screens for Pongal. The Ajith-starrer had been certified U/A by the censor board on December 31. The film is scheduled to be released on Thursday, January 13, 2022. The runtime of the film was revealed as 176 minutes and 35 seconds, which is almost three hours long. 

The trailer of the H Vinoth directorial's trailer was released on December 30 and the video teases audiences of what to expect in the film. Ajith plays the role of a cop Arjun, and the film will portray his journey of rise from a downfall. He works within the system to punish criminals but when that doesn't work out as planned, he gets ready to cross the line.

Valimai is Ajith's second collaboration with director H Vinoth after Nerkonda Paarvai. The cinematography for the film is by Nirav Shah. The film will also mark Four More Shots Please actor Bani J's debut in Tamil cinema. The film is produced by Boney Kapoor and has music by Yuvan Shankar Raja. It also stars Huma Qureshi, Kartikeya, Pearly Maaney, Pugazh, Dinesh Prabhakar, Dhruvan, GM Sundar among others.
