Dhanush confirms project with Rocky director Arun Matheswaran

While there were no official reports regarding the same till now, Dhanush himself took to social media to confirm this speculation

We had earlier reported that Arun Matheswaran's third film after Rocky and Saani Kaayidham is set to star Dhanush in the lead. While there were no official reports regarding the same till now, Dhanush himself took to social media to confirm this speculation.  

In a tweet, Dhanush said, "Yes. The speculations are true. I am that fortunate actor who bagged Arun Matheswaran's next directorial. More details soon. Om Namashivaaya."

Interestingly, there are reports that this Dhanush-Arun project is set to be a gangster film set in the 1950s. 

Arun Matheswaran, who worked as an assistant director to Thiagarajan Kumararaja and was the dialogue writer of Sudha Kongara's Irudhi Suttru, has completed the filming of his sophomore project, Saani Kaayidham. The project, which stars Selvaraghavan and Keerthy Suresh in the lead roles, is said to be based on a true story that happened during the 1980s. 

Meanwhile, Dhanush's recent Bollywood film, Atrangi Re has dropped on Disney+Hotstar earlier today. He also has Maaran, Thiruchitrambalam, The Gray Man and Naane Varuven in different stages of production.
