It was earlier announced that the Venkat Prabhu directorial, Maanaadu, starring Silambarasan TR, will be premiering on SonyLIV. The streaming platform has announced today that the time-loop thriller will be available to stream from December 24.

Maanaadu was released on November 25 in theatres, and opened to largely positive reviews, emerging as one of the most successful Tamil films of the year. The film tells the story of a man named Abdul Khaliq, played by Silambarasan, who gets trapped in a time loop and soon sets out on a mission to save the chief minister from an assassination plotted by a crooked cop played by SJ Suryah.

The film also starred Kalyani Priyadarshan, YG Mahendran, Premgi, and Karunakaran in supporting roles. Yuvan Shankar Raja has composed the music for the film while Praveen KL and Richard M Nathan have handled editing and cinematography, respectively.
