The trailer of Neelam Productions' upcoming film, Writer, is out. The film, directed by debutant Franklin Jacob, has Samuthirakani in the titular role and has Harikrishnan Anbudurai, Iniya, Maheshwari, and Dileeban playing the important characters. 

The trailer promises an intense and emotional drama. Samuthirakani plays an experienced head constable in the film. The film seems to be about his new challenges in life as he gets transferred to a new place.

Govind Vasantha, known for his songs in 96, has scored the music for the film. Pratheep Kaliraja is handling the camera work for the film, while  Manigandan Sivakumar takes care of the cuts.
