CE Features

There were reports earlier that Gautham Vasudev Menon, who is currently shooting for his upcoming film Vendhu Thanindhathu Kaadu starring Silambarasan, will team up with Sivakarthikeyan for his project which was reportedly produced by Vels Film International. Now, it looks like the news is true.

Preethaa Ganesh, the Vice President of Vels Group of Institutions took to her Instagram story to confirm the news. According to news reports, the film is expected to go into production next year.

The project will be the fourth film that the filmmaker has in the lineup, after Joshua Imai Pol Kaakha, Vendhu Thanindhadhu Kaadu, and the long-delayed Dhruva Natchathiram. Gautham's last film was Guitar Kambi Mele Nindru, starring Suriya and Prayaga Martin, a segment in the Netflix anthology Navarasa.

Notably, this is also the fifth time the director and Vels Film International are collaborating after Enai Nokki Paayum Thotta, Kutti Story, Joshua Imai Pol Kaakha, and Vendhu Thanindhathu Kaadu.

Meanwhile, Sivakarthikeyan, who is awaiting the release of Nelson Dilipkumar's Doctor, is currently shooting for Don, which is being directed by Cibi Chakravarthy.
