Shankar lauds Ponniyin Selvan 2

Director Shankar, who is currently working on Indian 2 and Game Changer, is the recent personality to appreciate the second part of Mani Ratnam’s Ponniyin Selvan which released in theatres a few days back.

“PS2, meticulously crafted by Maestro Mani Ratnam sir, especially the scene with Aishwarya Rai Bachchan & Vikram who were scintillating & stunning makes history. AR Rahman‘s music-truly marvelous! @dop_ravivarman’s frames were alluring! Kudos-all the actors, technicians and crew,” he added.

Ponniyin Selvan stars Vikram, Karthi, Jayam Ravi, Trisha and Aishwarya Rai in lead roles. The film has music by AR Rahman and is based on Kalki’s novel of the same name. The film is set during the Chola reign. The second part is currently running in theatres and opened to positive reception. The film’s post theatrical rights are bagged by Prime Video.

Meanwhile Mani Ratnam will be next working with Kamal Haasan in a film backed by Raaj Kamal Films International. On the other hand, Shankar has Game Changer with Ram Charan and Indian 2 with Kamal.
