CE Features

Dwayne Johnson is set to voice DC canine Krypto the Superdog in Warner Bros’ upcoming animated film DC League of Super-Pets. The film will also be jointly produced by Dwayne Johnson’s Seven Bucks productions.

The superhero action-adventure from writer-director Jared Stern, has been slated to hit the theatres on May 20, 2022. The film's release was already announced, but Johnson’s involvement with the project is newest development.

DC League of Super-Pets will clash with Paramount’s Mission: Impossible 7, Lionsgate’s John Wick: Chapter 4 and an untitled Disney live-action film at the box office.

DC League of Super-Pets, from Warner Bros. and Warner Animation Group, is co-directed by Sam Levine and is the first feature to star Superman’s pet. A larger voice-over cast is expected to be announced by the makers soon.

Patricia Hicks, Jared Stern and, under their Seven Bucks Productions banner, Johnson, Dany Garcia and Hiram Garcia are producing the film. John Requa, Glenn Ficarra and Nicholas Stoller are executive producing.

The film marks Johnson’s second association with DC, as he is shooting for Black Adam, in which he plays the title character.
