Lionsgate Films ropes in singer Arlo to develop a TV show

The series will be produced by Lionsgate in association with Eleven Films

British singer-songwriter and actor Arlo will be developing a television series for Lionsgate Films. According to reports, Arlo will be creating the show in collaboration with writer and director Aki Omoshaybi, whose directorial debut Real premiered at the 63rd BFI London Film Festival in 2019. 

The show reportedly follows a young man from East London wrestling with the complicated relationship between his working-class background and the music industry, and his travails to make a mark as a musician in a competitive music world.

Lionsgate Films will be producing the show in association with Eleven Films, the production company behind the hit Netflix show, Sex Education.
