Actor Sundeep Kishan has been roped in to play the lead in Maayavan Reloaded, the sequel to the 2017 film Maayavan. The announcement was made on Twitter by the franchise's director, CV Kumar, on the occasion of Sundeep's birthday.

It is not clear if the film is a direct sequel and if the principal cast, including Lavanya Tripathi, will be retained for Maayavan Reloaded.

While the first part was shot in Tamil and dubbed into Telugu as Project Z, the sequel will be simultaneously shot in Tamil and Telugu

Sundeep, who was recently seen in A1 Express, is awaiting the release of Gully Rowdy. He also has Vivaha Bhojanambu and the new Vi Anand project in his kitty.

Meanwhile, CV Kumar is busy with the post-production work of his third directorial Kottravai, which is planned to be made as a trilogy. On the production front, he had announced a sequel to his hit time-travelling thriller Indru Netru Naalai.
