Singer-composer Comagan, who shot to fame with his appearance in Cheran's Autograph in the song Ovvoru Pookalume, passed away due to Covid-19 related complications. 

Even before his stint in films, Comagan, a visually-challenged musician, was known for his orchestra Comaganin Raaga Priya, which was started in 1991, and comprised of visually challenged musicians. The orchestra gradually grew in strength, and their onscreen appearance in Autograph cemented their legacy. The group has performed over 3000 shows in many Indian cities and abroad. 

The group led by him was also known for their record-making spree, as in 1999, they entered the Limca Book of Record for performing non-stop for 16 hours with 183 songs. They bettered this feat and entered the Guinness World Records in 2007 when they performed non-stop for 50 hours with 24 visually-challenged musicians.

Comagan was also known for his philanthropic work that saw his group being involved in fund-raising events to help the under-privileged. 

Comagan also acted in films like Sura, Kannukulle, Pasupathy C/o Rasakkapalayam. He has also composed music for the film, Muthal Muthalai (2007).
