CE Features

The teaser of Aditi Prabhudeva-starrer Aana, which was released recently, has been receiving an overwhelming response. Billed as the first female superhero story in Kannada cinema, the film's dubbing rights are already in demand.

Director Manoj P Madalumane is excited that his debut venture is the talk of the town. “The teaser highlights the technical aspects — music, sound design, and the directorial vision. This has created a lot of expectation about this dark fantasy,” says the first-time director, adding, “The teaser has recevied a lot of appreciation and as a result, we have been approached for the dubbing rights in Telugu, Tamil, and other languages.”

Aana is the nickname of the protagonist Anarghya, and it means ‘precious’, Manoj tells us. The director says his film does not highlight just the hero and heroine, but is also a film that gives much scope for the technicians. Made under the banner UK Productions, Aana's technical team comprises cinematographer Uday Leela, editor Vijeth Chandra, and music composer Ritvik Muralidhar.
