Chehre postponed due to COVID-19 resurge

The film was expected to be released in theatres on April 9

Amitabh Bachchan and Emraan Hashmi-starring mystery thriller Chehre has been postponed amid rising coronavirus cases in India. The film was expected to be released in cinemas on April 9. However, given the recent spike in COVID-19 cases, the makers have decided to push the film to a later date. 

Elaborating on the decision, producer Anand Pandit says, “Considering the situation and safety of our audiences and fans, which is of utmost importance to us, we have decided to postpone our film Chehre. The team has taken immense efforts to make it a great cinematic experience and we are looking forward to our audiences coming to the theatres safely."

Chehre is directed by Rumy Jafry. The film also stars Annu Kapoor, Krystle D’Souza, Dhritiman Chatterjee, Raghubir Yadav, Siddhanth Kapoor, and Rhea Chakraborty. 

The makers will announce the new release date soon.
