Actor Nikhil Siddhartha and the production unit of his upcoming film, Karthikeya 2 were stranded after a massive snow blizzard struck Sissu, Himachal Pradesh. Director Chandoo Mondeti has temporarily halted the shooting and the unit is stuck in the region after the local authorities issued a red alert. The production would resume soon after the situation limps back to normalcy. 

According to a source, the team had recently landed in Sissu to shoot intense action sequences. Set in the backdrop of Kumbh Mela, Karthikeya 2 is being shot in Telugu and will be dubbed into Tamil, Malayalam and Hindi. The film has Swathi Reddy and Anupama Parameswaran as the female leads. 

A sequel to the 2014 mystery thriller of the same name, Karthikeya 2 will pick up from where the first part ended and also traces some incidents dating back 5000 years. The makers have recently wrapped up a schedule in Gujarat and will next leave for Nepal to shoot the remaining portions of the film.
