Having made an unerasable mark in the history of Indian cinema with a 75-year-long legacy and over three hundred films to its credit, AVM Productions is now foraying into the web space with a series titled Tamil Stalkers. Billed to be a crime thriller about the grim reality of piracy in the Tamil film industry, the series is helmed by Arivazhagan, known for directing thrillers such as Eeram and Kuttram 23.

AVM Productions, whose last venture was Idhuvum Kadandhu Pogum in 2014, will be partnering with Sony LIV to bring the new show to the viewers. Talking about their collaboration with Sony LIV, Aruna Guhan and Aparna Guhan Shyam, partners, AVM Productions said, “We are extremely passionate to bring it forth to the audience in partnership with SonyLIV that has been headlining the category with relevant and intriguing narratives.”

Expressing pleasure in bringing forward regional content, Danish Khan, the Business Head of SonyLIV, said, “We at SonyLIV are delighted to start our Tamil language LIV Original slate with Tamil Stalkers, a show that will be produced by one of the pioneer creative powerhouse AVM. We look forward to partner with Aruna, Aparna, and their highly talented team of writers, technicians and actors to bring what we believe is one of the most relevant and compelling stories,” said Danish.

Tamil Stalkers will premiere on SonyLIV in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada later this year.
