Wallis Day of Jekyll and Hyde and Krypton fame has been cast to play Kate Kane in the upcoming season of the Batwoman series.

The role was earlier played by Ruby Rose in the first season. The second season of the superhero series featured Javica Leslie's Ryan Wilder, who becomes the new batwoman after finding the Batsuit in the wreck of an airplane.

Wallis Day has been announced to play an altered version of Kane moving forward. Meaning, Leslie, the first Black actor to play the superhero, will continue to be Batwoman. Leslie's Ryan Wilder also hails from the LGBTQ community like Rose's Kane.

Batwoman premiered on The CW in 2019, but its first season was cut short due to the pandemic outbreak. The second season premiered on January 17, 2021, and a third season has also been ordered.

Meanwhile, Wallis Day recently wrapped shooting for the feature film Infinite, directed by Antoine Fuqua, which also stars Mark Wahlberg and Chiwetel Ejiofor.
