67th National Film Awards: Vijay Sethupathi bags Best Supporting Actor for Super Deluxe 

The actor played a trans woman named Shilpa in the 2019 film

Vijay Sethupathi has won the Best Supporting Actor (Male) award at the 67th National Film Awards for playing a trans woman named Shilpa in the 2019 film Super Deluxe. The announcement was made by the Press Information Bureau today. 

Vijay Sethupathi took to Twitter and thanked the film's director, Thiagarajan Kumararaja. 

Also starring Samantha Akkineni, Fahadh Faasil, and Ramya Krishnan, the film has music by Yuvan Shankar Raja and cinematography by PS Vinod and Nirav Shah. Super Deluxe is a hyperlinked story of multiple people who are having an extremely tough day. 

It may be noted that the director of the film, Thiagarajan Kumararaja, had won the Best Debut Film of a Director for Aaranya Kaandam.
