Actors Kriti Sanon and Sunny Singh have joined the cast of Prabhas' upcoming film, Adipurush. While Kriti is expected to play the role of Sita in this film adaptation of Ramayana, it is speculated that Sunny is set to play Lakshman.

Directed by Om Raut, Adipurush went on floors last month and is bankrolled by T-Series. Also starring Saif Ali Khan as Lankesh, the 3D film will be made in Hindi and Telugu simultaneously. Adipurush will also be dubbed and released in Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada, and other languages. 

With cinematography by Kharthik Palani, Adipurush is co-produced by Bhushan Kumar of T- Series and Om Raut, Prasad Sutar and Rajesh Nair of Retrophiles. It is planned as an August 11, 2022 release.
