CE Features

Actor Pooja Hegde has resumed shooting for Acharya today. Directed by Koratala Siva, the film stars Chiranjeevi and Kajal Aggarwal in the lead, while Ram Charan plays a pivotal role.

Pooja is currently shooting for a song along with Ram Charan in a specially-constructed set in Maredumilli. "A montage song under the supervision of Sekhar master is being shot for three days in the forest backdrop. The song comes at a crucial point in the narrative and it will also contribute to the progress of the story. The team is confident that it will be one of the major highlights of the film," reveals a source.

The team has been camping at a forest resort for two weeks now. Chiranjeevi, who joined the sets on February 21, has completed shooting his portions and returned to Hyderabad.

Tipped to be a socio-political drama, Acharya features Chiranjeevi as a carpenter-turned-social reformer, who is on a mission to conserve natural resources. Ram Charan will be seen as Siddha, a powerful tribal youth, who finds himself drawn to a rebellious movement.

The film also has Ajay, Tanikella Bharani, and Jisshu Sengupta in prominent roles, while Sonu Sood plays the antagonist.

The next schedule of Acharya will commence later this month at Singareni Coal Mines, Yellandu.

Also featuring Regina Cassandra in a special song, Acharya is slated for release on May 13.
