The makers of Nagarjuna's long-awaited action thriller, Wild Dog, have zeroed in on the release date of the film. Directed by Ahishor Solomon, the film is now slated for a theatrical release on April 2. Earlier this year, there was huge buzz that the makers of Wild Dog were contemplating releasing the film on OTT platforms, but they categorically denied the reports.

Based on real incidents, Wild Dog shows Nagarjuna as Vijay Varma, an encounter specialist and a National Investigation Agency (NIA) officer. The shooting of the film was recently wrapped up in the Himalayan region of Manali.

Now in the last leg of its post-production, the film also features Saiyami Kher as a Research and Analysis Wing (RAW) agent. The actor reportedly trained in mixed martial arts to play the part.

Wild Dog, which marks Nagarjuna's first collaboration with Ahishor, also features Dia Mirza, Atul Kulkarni, and Ali Reza in prominent roles. David Ismalone, who earlier composed action sequences in films like Fast & Furious 7, A Man Will Rise and Ong-Bak: Muay Thai Warrior, has choreographed the action scenes in Wild Dog.

Produced under Matinee Entertainment, Wild Dog has dialogues by Kiran Kumar and cinematography by Shaneil Deo.
