John Wick: Chapter 4 goes on floors

The Keanu Reeves-starrer is directed by Chad Stahelski from a script written by Shay Hatten and Michael Finch

John Wick: Chapter 4, the fourth instalment of the popular Keanu Reeves-starring action franchise began production yesterday.

Lionsgate's official Twitter handle announced the news, writing “Anybody got a pencil sharpener? ‘John Wick: Chapter 4’ is now in production,”

Chad Stahelski is returning to direct the sequel, which has also added Donnie Yen (Rogue One: A Star Wars Story), Shamier Anderson (Stowaway), Hiroyuki Sanada (Mortal Kombat, Army of the Dead) and Japanese-British popstar Rina Sawayama. It was recently revealed that Bill Skarsgård is also in talks for a role.

The third film in the franchise, John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum released in 2019, and the fourth chapter was initially scheduled to release this month but was pushed to May 22, 2022 due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Basil Iwanyk, Erica Lee, and Stahelski are producing the film, with Reeves and Louise Rosner serving as the executive producers.
