Peyton List to headline sci-fi horror The Friendship Game

The film is set to be directed by Scooter Corkle, with a script written by Damien Ober

Actor Peyton List, well-known for titles like Cobra Kai and Diary Of A Wimpy Kid, is all set to headline the upcoming sci-fi horror film The Friendship Game.

The film follows a group of teens in a small town who come across an object that tests their loyalties with each other. As events unfold and as they go deeper into the game, they are faced with destructive consequences.

The Friendship Game is set to be directed by Scooter Corkle (Hollow in the Land), with a script written by Damien Ober (The OA). 

The project was announced in 2019 with actor Bella Thorne in the lead, however, the actor is no longer aboard.

The Friendship Game hails from producers Daniel Bekerman (Falling) and Zak Kilberg (The Mauritanian). Executive producers are Tannaz Anisi and Gregory R Schenz of 13 Films, which is handling sales ahead of the Cannes virtual market.

The production is set to begin in the first week of September this year in Vancouver, Canada
