Jai turns antagonist once again for Atlee's next?

CE Features

Actor Jai, who was last seen in Triples, is reportedly playing the villain in an upcoming film that's bankrolled by director Atlee. A source close to the actor says," The untitled film will mark the debut of Atlee's assistant director and the Theri-director is producing it under his A for Apple Production banner. Jai will be seen in the role of an antagonist in this film." Jai had earlier collaborated with Atlee in the director's debut film Raja Rani

Jai is also said to be playing the villain in a film starring Sundar C in the lead. Produced by Sundar himself, the film is touted to be a thriller and is directed by his erstwhile assistant Badri, who had previously directed the filmmaker in films like Veerappu and Aiyantham Padai. Interestingly, Jai had earlier worked under Sundar C's direction in 2018's Kalakalappu 2

In an interaction with us earlier, Jai had said, "I am looking forward to playing characters with grey shade characters and hope to sport different looks for upcoming films to break this mould. In fact, in one of my upcoming films, I will be playing my first full-fledged negative character.”

Apart from these films, Jai also has Breaking News, Yenni Thuniga, Shiva Shivaa and a yet-to-be-titled Susienthiran directorial, in various stages of development.
