The first look of Rahul Vijay from his upcoming film Panchathantram was released on his birthday on Monday. He will be seen as Subhash, a 28-year-old man, who has his own set of standards for his prospective wife. "Rahul's character reflects the confusions and unambiguous perspectives of modern youth about marriage, life partner and their relationship. He plays a simple and romantic character and I am sure his performance will strike a chord with the younger generation," says Harsha Pulipaka, the director of the film.

Also starring Shivatmika Rajasekhar, Swathi Reddy, Brahmanandam, Samuthirakani and Naresh Agastya, the final schedule of the film will commence in July. "After a halt, we are planning to resume the shoot in July. We will complete the balance portions in 10 days and complete all formalities by September. We will announce the release date soon," reveal Akhilesh Vardhan and Srujan Yarabolu, the producers of Panchathantram.

Billed to be an emotional entertainer that is based on five senses of touch, taste, smell, sight and hearing, the film also emphasises the circumstances and the relationships around the basics of our existence.
