Aishwarya Rajesh's Boomika to have a TV premiere?

CE Features

If speculations making the rounds are to be true, it looks like Aishwarya Rajesh's 25th film, Boomika will skip theatrical release and have a direct television premiere. Several reports suggest that the film will soon have its television premiere on Vijay TV and will start streaming on Netflix from the same day.

Touted to be an ‘ecological thriller’, Boomika is helmed by Rathindran Prasad. The film is presented by Karthik Subbaraj’s Stone Bench films and Passion Studios. When we earlier spoke to Rathindran about this film, he had said that the film "involves just seven main characters and happens in a night".

Also starring Pavel Navageethan, Boomika has cinematography by Roberto Zazzara and music by Prithvi Chandrasekar. An official confirmation is expected soon from the makers of the film regarding its release. If true, the film will be Aishwarya Rajesh's second film to skip theatrical release after last year's Ka Pae Ranasingam. Her upcoming film Thittam Irandu is also speculated to release on SonyLIV.

Meanwhile, the actor has films like Nani’s Tuck Jagadish, Driver Jamuna, Mohandas, Republic and the Tamil remake of The Great Indian Kitchen. She is also part of Ravindran’s much-delayed directorial debut Idhu Vedhalam Sollum Kadhai, co-starring Ashwin Kakumanu and Abhay Deol.
