Director Pa Ranjith, who is awaiting the release of Sarpatta Parambarai, will soon be working on a romance story. While promoting the Arya-starrer in an interview, the Madras director confirmed that his next film is titled Natchathiram Nagargirathu. The film will mark Ranjith's return to the romance genre after his debut film Attakathi which came out in 2012. 

Said to be a film that will discuss various layers of romance, Ranjith added that he believes the film will create a lot of discussions. The story is written by Ranjith and the film will go on floors from 21st of this month. According to speculations online, Ashok Selvan is said to be playing the lead in Natchathiram Nagargirathu.

Meanwhile, Ranjith's Sarpatta Parambarai will be releasing this Thursday on Amazon Prime Video. The film also stars Dushara Vijayan, Pasupathy, Sanchana Natarajan, Kalaiyarasan and Santhosh Prathap.
