Ian McShane returns for John Wick: Chapter 4

The shooting of John Wick: Chapter 4 is underway and several sources have confirmed that Ian McShane is set to return to the franchise. 

Though McShane has acted in the past three instalments of John Wick, but he is perhaps most famous for his Golden Globe-winning performance as Al Swearengen in Deadwood. McShane’s joins an already star-studded cast that includes Keanu Reeves, Donnie Yen, Laurence Fishburne, Hiroyuki Sanada, Rina Sawayama, Shamier Anderson, and Lance Reddick.

The script is co-written by Michael Finch, a newcomer to the franchise, and Shay Hatten who penned John Wick: Chapter 3 and the upcoming fifth instalment. 

John Wick: Chapter 4 is currently being shot in Berlin and Paris, with additional locations in France, Germany, and Japan planned for the rest of the summer. Lionsgate has set to release the film on May 27, 2022.
