Chloe East, Oakes Fegley and Isabelle Kusman join Steven Spielberg's The Fabelmans

The three actors will play the high school classmates of the young aspiring filmmaker at the center of the story

Actors Chloe East, Oakes Fegley and Isabelle Kusman are the latest to join the cast of Steven Spielberg’s upcoming semi-autobiographical film, The Fabelmans, which is loosely based on the filmmaker's childhood.

The three actors will play the high school classmates of the young aspiring filmmaker at the center of the story.

The cast of The Fabelmans also includes Michelle Williams, Seth Rogen, Paul Dano, Gabriel LaBelle, Julia Butters, and Sam Rechner. Spielberg co-wrote the script with Tony Kushner of Lincoln and Munich fame.

The filming of the film is set to begin this month around the Los Angeles area. No release date has been announced yet for the autobiographical film.

East stars in HBO Max's Generation, and most recently wrapped production on Going Places. She was recently was seen in The Wolf of Snow Hollow. Fegley is known for starring in titles like The Goldfinch, Wonderstruck, The War with Grandpa, Pete’s Dragon and Fort Bliss. Kusman will make her feature film debut in Paul Thomas Anderson’s upcoming untitled film.
