Venkatesh-starrer Narappa will have a direct digital release on Amazon Prime Video on July 20. Directed by Srikanth Addala, the period action entertainer revolves around a family feud that goes through two generations, and one man's efforts to put out that burning issue, keeps it even brighter. A remake of acclaimed Tamil hit Asuran, Narappa also features Priyamani, Karthik Rathnam, and Prakash Raj in pivotal roles.

With Amazon Prime Video confirming the release date of Narappa on Monday, it has become one of the first big Telugu films to release on OTT.

In a statement, producer Daggubati Suresh Babu said, "It is an extremely stimulating and enriching experience to work with such talented stars and a highly creative crew. The story of Narappa is not only close to my heart but also narrates a social commentary on the system as a whole and this is our attempt to breathe life into this story. I am honored to have our work premiere on a global platform, which will help us reach a gamut of audiences. I am positive that they will all appreciate this action-packed film."

Meanwhile, Venkatesh's other release Drushyam 2, a remake of Mohanlal and Meena's Drishyam 2, is also poised for a digital release on Disney+ Hotstar soon.
