Ilaiyaraaja signs his next

Directed by Aathirajan, the film is titled Ninaivellam Neeyada

Veteran music composer Ilaiyaraaja has signed a new project titled Ninaivellam Neeyada. Director Aathirajan who made the 2008 Tamil film Silandhi, its Kannada remake, Ranatantra (2016) and Aruva Sanda (2018), is directing Ninaivellam Neeyada that's bankrolled by Royal Babu's Lekha Theatres. 

Speaking about working with Ilaiyaraaja, Aathirajan says, "I've always wanted to work with Ilaiyaraaja sir and this dream has now come true. Ninaivellam Neeyada is a film about first love and it will be in the lines of films like Azhagi, Autograph, and 96."

Starring Prajan in the lead, the makers have confirmed that a well-known female lead is also on board the film that also stars Bigg Boss Tamil-fame Gabriella, Manobala, Kaali Venkat, Mayilsamy, Cell Murugan and Madhumitha. The film will go on floors from next month and will be shot at Chennai, Pondicherry, Madurai, Coorg, and Idukki. 

The maestro has several films in his pipeline across Tamil and Telugu, including Viduthalai, Maamanithan, Kadaisi Vivasayi, Ranga Maarthanda, Thamilarasan, Son of India, Gamanam, and Thupparivaalan 2, among others.
