The makers of the much-celebrated Android Kunjappan has announced a sequel, titled Alien Aliyan. Suraj Venjaramoodu and Soubin Shahir will reprise their roles from the original.

Director-writer Ratheesh Balakrishnan Poduval will return along with producer Santhosh T Kuruvilla. The latter is backing the production under the banner of STK Frames. Sanu John Varghese will be back to helm the camera.

Meanwhile, Ratheesh has completed his second directorial feature Kanakam Kamini Kalaham starring Nivin Pauly, Grace Antony, and Vinay Forrt. A release update is awaited.

It may be noted that a Tamil remake of Android Kunjappan, titled Google Kuttappan, is currently being made starring KS Ravikumar, Tharshan and Losliya.
