We had earlier reported that SonyLIV has acquired multiple Tamil films for direct-to-streaming release. Now, it has been announced that Vaazhl is among the films that will be hitting the platform. The film is set to stream on SonyLIV from July 16, the makers announced today.

It has also been announced that the film's soundtrack and trailer will be released tomorrow.

The film marks Arun Prabu Purushothaman's sophomore directorial after his critically acclaimed 2017 debut, Aruvi. The film, which features Pradeep, Bhanu, Diva, and Yathra in the lead roles, is a co-production between Siva Karthikeyan Productions and Madhuram Pictures.

Notably, the film is the third production by actor Sivakarthikeyan after Kanaa, starring Aishwarya Rajesh, the yet-to-be-released Doctor, and Rio Raj-starrer Nenjamundu Nermaiyundu Odu Raja.

Vaazhl has music by Pradeep Kumar, while Shelley and Raymond Derrick Crasta have handled cinematography and editing, respectively.
