Suriya is reuniting with director Pandiraj, after 2015's Pasanga 2, for his 40th film, tentatively referred to as Suriya 40. It was announced yesterday that Priyanka Mohan will be playing the female lead and following that, it was revealed today that veteran actor Sathyaraj has also been roped in to play an important role. 

Suriya 40 will mark Sun Pictures' first production starring Suriya, and second project with Pandiraj after the Sivakarthikeyan-starrer Namma Veettu Pillai. Pandiraj and Suriya previously collaborated on Kadaikutty Singam as well, which was produced by the actor's 2D Entertainment banner. Kadaikutty Singam also had Sathyaraj in a key role. 

Like Pandiraj's earlier films, Suriya 40 is also expected to be a family entertainer.

While it was earlier speculated that Suriya would wrap up Vetri Maaran's Vaadi Vasal before starting Suriya 40, it is now said that the Pandiraj film will go on floors first.
